The event will take place over three days to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the end of the 1939-45 War in Europe. The theme of the event is to be Operation Market-Garden and the defence of Britain. As can be seen above, the dates for the event are May 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 2010. Please use the links at the top of the page to view more information. The event is open to all MVT members regardless of vehicles owned, however priority will be given to war time vehicles in the convoys but members are encouraged to join in the activities of the event, by riding in such vehicles. Re-enactors and vehicle owners are encouraged to click here for registration forms and important notices. The event is brought to you by the Kennet Valley Area of the MVT, and the same team that brought you Route to Victory 2008. The first military convoy will be departing at 0900 Hours on the 1st of May, so we'd request that all those interested in the parade are on site prior to the departure time in order to guarantee a spot. On arrival back at the Camp on Saturday we will join in a street party with the Village to celebrate the troops retuning Home. This will be followed by other entertainments in the village concluded by a spectacular Wartime Searchlight Display in the centre of the Village free to all. On Sunday evening there is a 1940s Dance will be held in the Memorial Hall (Tickets Only) plus lots of other entertainments in the village. Finally on Monday there will be a public day with an arena in the show field where there will be displays including Firing Artillery, Tanks and Armour movements. There is to be a Victory parade through the Village as well as a planed display war time aircraft followed by a Parachute Drop, finished by final Parade of Re-enactors to honour the veterans from the operation.
